Delivery and returns

TAKING CARE OF YOUR ORDER
All products shown on our website are made and printed to order so please bear in mind it may take a few days to get your card(s) or print(s) made, carefully packaged up and ready for shipping.

We normally aim to do this within 2 working days of receiving your order but personalised products can take a bit longer (especially allowing for a proof and your approval where required).

If your order is more urgent, then please add this as a note at the checkout and we will do our best to turn things around for you more quickly - but we can’t make any guarantees.

Our studio is open Monday to Friday, but we generally try and close at weekends.

 

HOW MUCH IS UK DELIVERY?

Single (1x) greetings card
Standard delivery (via Royal Mail First Class) = £1.25

Up to 5 cards or a small size print (A4 and below)
Standard delivery (via Royal Mail 48 Tracked) = £2.70
Express delivery (via Royal Mail 24 Tracked) = £3.30

6 cards or more  /  Multiple small prints  /  Large prints (12x16 or A3+)
Standard delivery via Royal Mail 48 tracked = £3.30
Express delivery via Royal Mail 24 tracked = £3.95

 

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO ARRIVE?

UK Standard shipping: please allow 2-4 days
– Orders are sent out by Royal Mail 48 Tracked service (Unsigned forand normally arrive within 48 hours but can take slightly longer. We’ll send you a unique tracking code to keep track of your order.

– If you order a single (1 only) card we will send this out by First Class post and this will normally arrive in 1-3 days.

UK Express shipping: please allow 1-3 days
– Orders are sent out by Royal Mail 24 Tracked service (Not signed for) and normally arrive within 24 hours from leaving our studio.
– Occasionally, some packages take slightly longer to arrive, but we’ll send you a unique tracking code so you can keep track of your order.

European and International shipping: Unfortunately, we're currently unable to ship orders outside of the UK. Please check back here for updates.

Please note that whilst we endeavour to ensure everything is shipped on time and packaged safely, items can go missing or be delayed during transit. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

 

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE PACKAGED UP FOR DELIVERY?

Greetings cards
We carefully package your card(s) in a biodegradable/compostable clear bag, wrap them in acid-free tissue paper and protect them with additional cardboard inserts and ship them in a sturdy hardback 'Please do not bend' envelope or rigid cardboard mailing pack depending on the number of cards ordered.

Prints
Small to medium prints (up to A3 size) are carefully wrapped with acid-free tissue paper and shipped in a sturdy rigid cardboard mailing pack (with additional cardboard stiffeners for extra protection). In some instances we may ship our A3 prints in a thick cardboard tube.

Large prints (16x20 and A2 size) are all carefully wrapped with acid-free tissue paper and shipped in a thick cardboard tube for protection.

For the immediate future we are only able to ship to the UK.

 

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS
Please check you have given the correct shipping address when ordering, as we can not be held responsible should deliveries go missing due to an incorrect or incomplete address.

Orders sent outside of the UK may incur local duties and taxes. These are not included in your order and will need to be paid by you locally upon receipt. Please contact your local customs office if you need further information before placing your order.

Any charges incurred in the return of products due to duty not being paid will be deducted from the final return refund.

 

RETURNS
We’re confident you’ll be happy with your product, but if you need to return your order and would like a refund, please let us know within 14 days of receiving your items. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Personalised prints: We can't accept returns or offer exchanges on our custom/personalised prints
as they are created uniquely to your order.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase in case the items are lost or damaged in transit. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items.

 

REFUNDS
Once we receive your return order, we will send you an email to let you know that we have got it, and will let you know if your refund has been approved or not. If your refund is approved, a credit will be applied to your credit card or original payment method. Please allow us 10 days to process your refund.

 

POSTAL DAMAGE
Our A4 size prints are shipped in hardback mailing packs and all other sizes larger than A4 are shipped in thick cardboard tubes to minimise risk of damage.

Our greetings cards are shipped in sturdy ‘Please do not bend’ cardboard envelopes for protection.

If your print(s) or card(s) arrive damaged then please contact us as soon as possible at hello@alfandbetprints.com. We will need photos of your order as proof for us to evaluate any issues.
