Pinterest is a hive of emerging trends, being used by brands, designers, and style-forward individuals alike to both track the latest crazes and create them. From fashion and makeup to interior design and landscaping, Pinterest has its finger on the pulse – and a team of analysts ready to dive into user data.
Each year, the Pinterest analysts collate and investigate the latest trends to create their Pinterest Predicts series, which includes the Pinterest Palette – a selection of the five colours who’s hues are expected to emerge across the various industries and this is the subject of our latest journal post.
The 2025 Pinterest Palette
1. Cherry Red
2. Butter Yellow
3. Indigo Aura
4. Dill Green
5. Alpine Oat

1. Cherry Red
Bold and vivacious, Cherry Red has taken over! The vibrant hue has been growing in popularity since its autumn origins, with more and more fashionistas opting for cherry red nails, hair, lips, and heels.
Sweet and sultry, the 2025 Cherry Red trend is for a slightly deeper hue from previous years’ Tomato Red, adding a hint of luxury that’s encouraging stylists to pair the colour with liquid gold.
From the moment I came across the new shade of Cherry Red, I was excited by the sheer depth and intensity of the colour. The fact that it’s not so bright and racy as other reds, makes it all the more visually distinctive and alluring. No wonder it’s proving to be so successful across fashion, art and home decor.

Alongside fashion and makeup, juicy Cherry Red is making its way into homes as statement pieces of art and decor. This colour has particularly captured our imagination, joining our colour lineup as our newest Cherry Red personalised special occasion print (pictured above).

2. Butter Yellow
On the lighter side of the palette is Butter Yellow, bringing soft positivity into the darker months of the year with its gentle hint of spring.
The buttery hue is taking over wardrobes in monochrome outfits and basics as well as introducing a new style of understatement colour, with butter yellow accessories like heels and bags bringing a muted hint of colour to everyday outfits.
Butter Yellow will also be seen on living room walls and offices, with the lighter shades a perfect way to take a bland white wall and give it some personality while adding its soft positivity into daily activities.

3. Indigo Aura
Floaty and feminine, the Indigo Aura is an out-of-this-world take on mermaid mysticism combined with glittering starscapes.
Expect gossamer garments like maxi skirts to be paired with soft indigo aura makeup led into popularity by Gen Z’s take on statement eyeshadow that’s blending with highlighter to create unforgettable looks.
Men aren’t missing out on this trend either, as the twist on a lilac spreads to men’s business shirts for the adventurous, and to socks and ties for those who only want to hint at the trend.

4. Dill Green
The power of the pickle has been at the forefront of trends for the last few years, with pickle recipes being shared far and wide and pickle-forward cocktails joining menus at bougie establishments.
This year, the delicious Dill Green is combining with the millennial plant craze to bring the bold green into homes – particularly as tiles into kitchens and bathrooms.

For those wanting to bring a touch of the gorgeous green into their homes, we’ve created our very own Dill Green Personalised Special Occasion Print - perfect for any room of the house.

5. Alpine Oat
For Alpine Oat, think beige and nude with a warmer, more comforting spin and a slightly less skin-toned aspect.
Even more gentle, even softer with only the hint of a hue to the new neutral, alpine oat-inspired home decor is the new minimalist mainstay.
Walls, tiles, and monochrome outfits alike are bringing that soothing touch of a perfect oat milk latte into even more of our lives.

Inspiring new colours and new prints!
On a personal note, I have been super-inspired by some of the new colours featured in the 2025 Pinterest Palette published earlier this year. Two of the colours in particular have caught my attention and we have recently updated our Personalised Special Occasion Prints collection with a new Cherry Red and Dill Green colour variant.
After lots of colour experimentation and print testing, I chose to tone down the brightness level of the Cherry Red very slightly. This has helped achieve a final colour that is both rich and restrained - and looks amazing when printed using the 12-ink professional print system from Canon.
And it’s great to see that some of our followers on Instagram are already sharing the love for these new colours – as we found out with some recent polls we ran on our stories.
So keep your eyes peeled on our socials and email newsletter for more on the evolution of these latest trends.
